Delightful music, expertly played would be the shortest caption we can think out for this.
The Swedish Chamber Orchestra under Thomas Dausgaard have made a name for themselves with the “Opening Doors” series of famous symphonic masterworks, played by a chamber orchestra, and, whatever some have said in some other works, in this case the size is just about right. 24/96 recording.

Some time ago headlines were cabled out over the world – it even made CNN! – that some fragments from Sibelius’s 8th and lost Symphony had been found.
The fact that Prof. Virtanen in Helsinki, one of the world’s leading authorities on Sibelius and the man who made performing editions of the fragments, had already concluded that they were not from that symphony didn’t stop the press from going overboard, but the fragments – here recorded for the first time – are no less interesting for that.
Also, since we finalized the Sibelius Edition, inevitably more material has been found. All of that, together with some rarities from before, can be found on this CD: The Unknown Sibelius, a must for anyone, interested in Sibelius.
24 bit promotion

Dear all.
We are happy to be able to report a break-through in our negotiations with different labels, enabling us to provide you with more high-resolution content from labels already here, as well as from a number of labels new to eClassical.
Starting today, we will be offering you a large amount of these releases in 24 bits, mostly in 96 kHz. We now have access to a further couple of hundred albums in high resolution. A smaller number of these have already been available in CD quality, but the majority is new albums to eClassical.
